At Luxe Stijl Design our design philosophy is to promote spaces that compliment your existing home as well as your lifestyle. Our design work includes traditional historical spaces, transitional design elements, mid century, modern, and everything inbetween. We take a personal approach to learn about your needs and desires, and deliver results that improve your quality of daily life.
about us
The heart and soul of who we are
Jon is a Seattle native with a Swedish heritage. His ancestors were known for constructing some of the many rockeries in the Seattle area, building and wiring homes on Mercer Island and beyond, and crafting some of the beautiful woodwork in the Rosario Resort on Orcas Island.
It was only natural that he would follow suit and contribute to the craft and construction projects in this region as well.
His focus is on millwork and a variety of handyman type services. However, his abilities range from demo, to framing, to custom millwork & cabinet installation, to overall site supervision.
Angela is a Michigan native, from the city of Holland, where she was raised as a part of a largely Dutch community. She enjoys reminders of home while the Tuilps are in bloom in the Skagit valley.
The daughter of a builder and cabinet maker, turned acoustic guitar maker, she took an early interest in the field of architecture. Following receiving her architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame she worked in various design and construction roles in Chicago, IL.
Jon and Angela met while working for partnering developers in Chicago, and relocated to Seattle as the recession came in 2008. The initial work available in the area also diminished due to the recession. The best option forward seemed to be opening up a shop of their own. Given their combined experience in residential architecture, commercial interiors, construction management, general contracting, architectural sales, and hands on construction work, they officially formed Luxe Stijl Design LLC in 2015.
To date they continue to serve the Puget Sound region as a licensed and bonded design-build general contracting company, and enjoy making improvements to lives and properties every step along the way.

We understand that both beauty and function are in the details. We take great joy in creating beautifully designed custom kitchens and baths with custom cabinets as well as making the most of needed storage in small spaces.
We also have vast experience addressing dry rot and deteriation due to our damp local climate.

As a small family business, we have certain methods in place while at the same time remain flexible to work within the needs of our unique clients with regard to timing, budget, communications, etc.
Our capacity to offer full service design-build projects is adventageous due to the direct connection between both designer and builder, ensuring more accuracy in the finished product as well as more timely decision making when certain changes arise in the field throughout the process. Many of our clients appreciate only having one or two points of contact throughout the project, making it easier to manage the details and communications from start to finish.
